Experience:
40 years drumming experience; started at 8 learning big band swing
with members of Count Basie's band in Ohio, then moved into Rock n Roll
during the 60s. Was in several regional bands in the Ohio area
during the early 70s. Took several years off for Navy enlistment
then really got into playing Blues. Have had the pleasure and honor
of being on stage with BB King, Muddy Waters, Mike Pinerra, Dickie Betts,
and others. Was mostly a session and fill-in player for many years
then went the corporate route to raise a family. Been playing steady
for the past 6 years. Am the host drummer for the Wednesday Blues
Jam at Ace's Lounge in Bradenton and also a sub drummer for the Tuesday
Blues Jam at Cork's Cigar Bar in Bradenton. Currently playing the
WhoDoos, a rockin' Lil' 4 piece Blues Band based in Bradeonton-Sarasota
area. |

Comments: Really
enjoy the expressive opportunities in a Blues Genre, the interaction of
the players. Live music should not be a jukebox type thing but a
creative art form. |
